CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM: PROJECT BOOKLAT
RATIONALE
Reading is one of the most important skill a student should possess in order to effectively learn any learning area. Inability to read the instruction, direction or selection hampers the learning process of the student. Instructions based and activities which are being encouraged in our classroom will find it hard to reach our students’ potential to self directed learning if they fail to achieve the level of reading comprehension necessary to carry out tasks . Independent learning has become part of our strategy to elevate the condition into which we allow students to explore, learn and discover their innate ability and intelligence. Thus, to address the current state of the students’ inability to read selections properly and comprehend what has been read has never been more important than it is now. To ensure that the objectives of the K to 12 Curriculum be realized, a graduate that is ready for the world – the basic skill of reading effectively and comprehending a situation through what was read should be given importance. So that, any graduate can be competitive globally, unfazed by the language barrier and can communicate effectively with anyone. |
